/ Challenge:
The challenge was to build an interactive piercing mapping system that remained visually intuitive while supporting dynamic interactions. The experience needed to allow users to hover over a list item and instantly spot the corresponding location on the image, while also supporting flexible positioning and multiple piercing categories within a clean, maintainable structure. It also needed to feel modern, lightweight, and highly responsive without relying on external libraries or frameworks.

Architecture:
The entire system was developed using pure vanilla JavaScript with no external dependencies or frameworks. A lightweight DOM-driven architecture keeps the experience fast, maintainable, and easy to extend while ensuring consistent performance across devices.
Interaction System:
Piercing categories are rebuilt dynamically using structured HTML rendering and manual event rebinding. This approach enables seamless switching between modes while maintaining flexibility for future additions and custom interaction behaviors.
Performance & Responsiveness:
The interface was optimized for responsiveness using lightweight animations, efficient class toggling, and minimal DOM operations. Clean structure and modular interaction handling ensure smooth performance without unnecessary overhead.
